i keep breaking strings -3-Micah arrived early to class, simply because he had to return the notes and didn’t want to do such when everyone else was around, afraid that some hyped-up goody-goody would tell the teacher or the teacher herself would notice. He supposed he was lucky that the guy –who was still nameless in Micah’s mind- actually showed up before anyone else did, still slouching and looking down as he walked. It took a moment for Micah to find his voice, but he managed, “Here. Thanks,” while he held out the papers.i keep breaking strings -3-

We were so naïve, made of chalk drawings of suns and cubes in the drive, paisley jumpers or jeans with holes and mud under fingernails.
